Devan Crimi
Devan Crimi is currently the Assistant Women’s Lacrosse Coach at Dominican University. From 2016 to 2023, she served as the Head Varsity Lacrosse Coach at Middletown High School South (NJ) and was the Director of Team 91 NJ Girls from 2017 to 2023. A Long Island native, Crimi graduated from West Islip High School and went on to play collegiate lacrosse at Adelphi University.
At Adelphi, Crimi was a four-year starter on the women’s lacrosse team. During her time there, she led the team to two NCAA Division II National Championships and three Northeast-10 Conference Championships. Her individual accolades include being a two-time IWLCA First Team All-American and a three-time Northeast-10 First Team All-Conference selection. In 2014, she was named to the NCAA National Championship All-Tournament Team.
Crimi stood out on the national stage as well. In 2014, she was named to the prestigious Tewaaraton Award Watch List, which highlights the top 50 players across Divisions I, II, and III. She was the statistical leader in goals and assists in Division II during both the 2013 and 2014 seasons. Lacrosse Magazine recognized her as a Preseason Player of the Year nominee in both 2012 and 2013. As a senior, she was selected to represent the North Region in the annual North vs. South All-Star Game.
In her senior year, Crimi earned multiple honors: Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Year, ECAC Division II Player of the Year, ECAC Offensive Player of the Year, and Adelphi University Female Athlete of the Year. She was also named Northeast-10 Conference Woman of the Year and was a finalist for NCAA Division II Woman of the Year.
Crimi left a lasting legacy at Adelphi University, where she set the single-season goals record (83) and tied the career points record (380). A two-year team captain and team MVP, she was also honored early in her career as Adelphi’s Sophomore Female Athlete of the Year.
Off the field, Crimi excelled in the classroom. She was a CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-American, a two-time CoSIDA Academic All-District honoree, a four-time member of the Northeast-10 Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll, and a four-time Northeast-10 Academic All-Conference selection. In 2014, she was named ECAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year and received the Northeast-10 Conference Scholar-Athlete Sport Excellence Award.
Crimi graduated magna cum laude from Adelphi University in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Marketing. She later earned her MBA from Southern New Hampshire University in 2017.
Coach Crimi is the assistant coach of the Metro 2028 team.
